Aidan, is a senior technology leader based in Northern Ireland, with almost 30 years' software engineering experience. As an Electrical and Electronic engineering graduate of both Ulster University and Queen's University, Aidan has worked for a number of global organizations including Virgin Media, APiON, Ericsson, NEC (Australia) and Allstate. Aidan's responsibilities include modernizing and supporting Allstate Canada's technology ecosystem, delivering transformation through his globally dispersed engineering and product teams based across North America, Europe and Asia. Aidan is responsible for leading numerous technology modernization initiatives across Infrastructure, Financial Technology and HR systems for the Allstate Canada Group.
As past president of the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and current member of the IBEC NW Regional Executive Committee, Aidan is regularly involved in external business, government and academia engagement contributing to the advancement of technology sector and skills agenda across Northern Ireland. In the past Aidan has also been a key contributor in the Entrepreneurship, Enterprise and Regional Competitiveness thematic group, in the creation of the Derry and Strabane District Council Community Plan.
Aidan who lives in Claudy, is married to Allison and have 4 young children, Anna, Catherine, Cormac and Cillian. When he is not leading global technology teams, Aidan enjoys spending time at his local martial arts club and is ranked 1st Dan blackbelt in Ju Jitsu within the World Ju Jitsu Federation.
