Why I work at Allstate (and stay)

Published: May 9, 2026

We hear from Dana S., Lead Digital Product Manager at Allstate….

After 10 years of leading product teams in Silicon Valley startups (and one successful acquisition!), I joined Allstate Protection Plans and later transitioned to Allstate Claims Org.

I was curious about how a large enterprise approaches innovation, and what stood out immediately was Allstate's fast digital transformation and the strong focus on outcome-based delivery. It aligned closely with my product management philosophy, and how I build high-performing teams and innovative, customer-centric solutions.

It's rare to find a company of this scale that truly enables a startup-like mindset and operation. I'm proud to say, that within our team, Claims Integrations, we modernize our integrations and lead this transition by successfully experimenting with and actively implementing AI.

Moreover, pair programming truly enables us to move faster while helping team members learn from each other, driving quick, high-quality outcomes. We've quadrupled our pace since the team started operating last year, towards the goal to remove Claims from legacy systems.

Beyond the work itself, Allstate invests deeply in people, offering continuous upskilling and meaningful internal mobility that supports long-term growth and impact. In addition, Allstate encourages diversity and I'm honoured to take part in the WITA mentorship program that helps women build confidence and pave their professional path.

For me, Allstate is where scale meets possibility. Where you can keep reinventing yourself while making a real impact!
